BIG WHUP INDUSTRIES

Co-founded by Drew Denny and Geoff Geis in 2009, Big Whup Industries seeks to share with a wider audience the incredibly imaginative musical works authored by friends of Big Whup. Big Whup Industries’ first release “What Is Happening…” (2009) is an intimate tour of this moment in Los Angeles’ musical history, including contributions from Pizza!, Jonesin’, So Many Wizards, Nicole Kidman, No Paws (No Lions), Uli & the Gringos, and Julia Holter. "What Is Happening..." spans genres (from punk to Latin pop) and languages (from Sanskrit to Portuguese) to illustrate the remarkable output of a dynamic constellation of local musicians and friends.
